Our History

  • 1949 With a small 20-square-meter begins the retail sale of ice creams, prepared with Ice Cream Makers developed by the own holder.
  • 1950 Is purchased first Ice Cream Maker for the production of ice cream.
  • 1958 The wholesale and retail, in a place with 100 square meters and 4 Ice Cream Makers begins.
  • 1965 Acquired the first moulds for the manufacture of ice cream on stick, begins with peddling reaching 150 vendors.
  • 1969 Register the mark COM COM.
  • 1970 Acquired the first English ice cream Maker.
  • 1988 Already the second generation takes a turn going to scale industrial manufacturing of ice cream.
  • 1990 3200 meters Factory.
  • 1994 Begins the expansion to a national level, the network of distributors borns.
  • 1996 Acquired the first Frozen tunnel.
  • 1997 Acquired the first Long Distance vehicle to meet the demand of our customers.
  • 2000 Production capacity increasses and Ice Cream Makers are renewed.
  • 2006 La Montevideana trademark rights are acquired.
  • 2007 New building and production plant.
  • 2011 Exportation Starts.
  • 2012 We entered SEDEX member giving rise to the CSR management.
  • 2014 BRC certification.
  • 2016 BRC Certification renewed with the highest calification. (A+).
